I have been posting about this topic on my Instagram, but in case you missed it, I decided to post it here.
Think of all the reasons you started. You decided to change your life for the better and you should stick to it. Remember, it takes 21 days to develop a habit.
Surround yourself with friends and family who support your goals. Find a gym buddy! You can keep each other accountable and motivate each other when necessary. Even if you don’t lift together, have someone there who will support your growth and give you words of encouragement when you need it.
Set realistic goals. You should set long term goals and short term goals. Short terms goals are the smaller steps you will take to reach your long term goals. If they are unattainable goals, you are more likely to feel discouraged and fall off track.
Look good, feel good. There are days when we feel unmotivated, and sometimes a little outfit change is all we need. Having new gym outfits not only makes me want to go to the gym ASAP, but it also helps me have a better workout! My favorite gym outfit is this mesh sports bra andleggings from LaSenza. They both have cute lace-up detailing on the front.
Relate this idea to job interviews. If you were going to an interview for a professional company, you would want to dress the part. You wouldn’t show up to the interview in sweatpants. Even if it were a phone interview or a skype interview, I recommend dressing the part as if you were meeting the employer in person. Dressing up for the interview makes your mind have an association with acting professional and showing your best.
