Zucchini ‘Sushi’


The main purpose for this blog post is not to share this recipe with you, but to share my love for my new camera lens :p. I’m not a professional when it comes to cameras and lenses, but I do know how I like my pictures to turn out. For months, I have been wanting to create that beautiful blur effect in my food pictures, but I did not have the correct lens for them. I finally found the lens I have been wanting, and my photography skills are slowly improving! 🙂



  • 1 sliced zucchini
  • 1 carrot, shredded or julienne
  • cream cheese (substitute cottage cheese, blended until smooth in food processor)
  • dill
  • chives, finely chopped
  • quinoa (optional)


  1. Spread cream cheese (or cottage cheese) on one side of the zucchini slices and top with quinoa if desired.
  2. Add the carrots and dill
  3. Roll zucchini slices and sprinkle chives on top
